'Twinness Book Of Records' Set to Release

Twin of Twins are set to release their second album in less than two months, ‘Twinness Book Of Records’.

The album, which will primarily be songs, as opposed to comedic skits, is scheduled to be released around the end of the month.

One half of the duo, Patrick ‘Curly Loxx’ Gaynor, said they had plans to release a double album with the skits and songs. However, they decided to separate them and released Stir It Up Vol 8 – Trials and Crosses in June.

“Because of the fun and gimmicks, some people tend to skip the songs, not saying that the songs are not good. They gonna get a song album so they won’t have any choice but to listen the songs,” Curly Loxx said.

While it is a music album with about 19 tracks, there will be a few skits in between, in keeping with the twins’ nature. In addition, it has collaborations with artistes such as Junior Gong, Mr Vegas, Bounty Killer, Turbulance and Barrington Levy, with whom they are yet to record the track.

Curly Loxx said he is sure the public will love the new album.

“People ago love it. We neva do a song weh nuh mad in the streets,” he told THE STAR.

In September, the twins will also release the animated version of the much-loved Trial and Crosses skit album. Curly Loxx said work has already started on Stir It Up Vol 9 so that the album and DVD can be released simultaneously.

live format

But that is not the only thing they have on their plates. There are also plans for Stand Up/For Your Rights, which will be done in a live show stand-up comedy format. It will be recorded and sold on DVD.

“Our fans never get Twin of Twins in our full element performing. Dancehall is not patient enough to get a full performance. It’s gonna be the Twin of Twins just talking, not holding back, using our real voices,” Curly Loxx told THE STAR.

The live shows are scheduled to start at the end of the month. However, the series might be delayed as the venue has not been finalised.

Curly Loxx also advised that their myspace page is www.myspace.com/thetwinoftwins. Anything else, he said, are fake pages
