Fast rising Dancehall star Twani Price and popular social media personality Prince Pine have teamed up once more for a new single that already is becoming a favorite in the Dancehall space.
The single ‘Long Distance’ was released on Jamaica’s National Heroes Weekend and sees the two newly minted artistes talking about long distance relationships.
“A whole lot of persons are gravitating to the new song because they can relate to the challenges of a long distance relationship especially if you don’t get to spend time in person often,’ Twani explained
The video, directed by Bussweh Visuals, was also released on the holiday weekend and the clean sober visuals are already trending on streaming platform YouTube.
“When you have a relationship with someone far away like in another country or parish, the time you get to spend together is even more special so you should make that time count, that’s what we were depicting in the video as well,” Twani added
Twani and Prince Pine collaborated prior to this Long Distance single; in 2017 they did a freestyle for Cashflow Rinse called Same Girl and in 2018 they recorded ‘Ben Ova’ that streamed more than 3 million views on YouTube.
With the Long Distance single though, the artistes are taking a more serious approach to the content of the songs and visuals. Twani, who has seen crossover success with his Honda single and additional Tracks Na Lef and Ypree is even more focused after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University Of Technology with honors last week.
“It’s a business and I’m taking music as seriously as I did my education. Best believe I’ll be utilizing everything I learned to my own career as well,” Twani confirmed
The video for Long Distance can be viewed on Twani’s Vevo Channel on YouTube. A competition for the single will be launched shortly as well.
