Trapycal Living His Dream

Born Yulando Amando Bentley-Mitchell this extraordinary talent known to the world as Trapycal says he is of the view that his life’s purpose is to inspire at risk youths to aspire to do great things by being individual agents of positive change. This humble yet profound soul started his journey in a small but vibrant rural community known as River Head district after which he transitioned to Albion in Yallahs St. Thomas. He attended the Gotridge Basic School then moved on to Grants Pen Primary and Infant School then to Yallahs High School.

Growing up in a musical family it was not long before the musical bug had stung him and after a couple powerful renditions of some classics by the likes of Buju Banton, Capleton, Sizzla, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer a young star was born. Daily motivation by his close nit family and friends gave him the confidence and the drive to both develop and display his talent over time. In short order he became known as the community artiste, performing at local dances, concerts and stage shows each time he received massive forwards.

The recording studio seemed to be the next step obviously as his talent had outgrown his surroundings however getting the attention and the requisite funding was a challenge initially as despite his obvious talent he lacked the resources. Slowly but surely he began to record a few tracks for a few upcoming producers but despite the fact that progress was slow initially he was never daunted by this because he and everyone around him knew of his great talent which he always said to never put a time on because his was rise inevitable. The singjay has been receiving countless dubplate and show requests mainly due to the success of tracks such as World Need A Change, Ghetto Cry and System along with other buzzing tracks off his exceptional EP.

Currently Trapycal signed to Wild Out Records while his road management is done by Bauvel Bentley- Mitchell (aka LUSH). He is also working with a cluster of producers including Deono Deann Records, Troy Boss Music, Konsequense Music and Nuh Sympathy Music.
