The producers of Bob Andy Unplugged: Tribute to the Songwriter thank the large body of enthusiastic fans who attended Friday night's concert; by extension the many musicians, artistes, technicians, companies and sponsors who collaborated to produce an exceptional event.
Since the iconic Songbook was released in 1972, Bob Andy has written and recorded nine albums, and has continued to pen original songs for other artistes, including most recently, Luciano and Marcia Griffiths. While prior to 1972, Andy had already catapulted his way to stardom courtesy of his exceptional songwriting and singing abilities.
Telecommunications giant, LIME, has extended a helping hand in support of musical great Bob Andy. The company recently joined the Friends of Bob Andy Song Foundation and the RJR Communications Group in their efforts to raise funds for the Reggae/Rocksteady pioneer, who earlier this year fell ill and is now being treated.
More exceptional artistes have been added to the line-up of the Bob Andy Unpluggedconcert which is slated to take place next week Friday night at the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium, on the grounds of Jamaica College.
