Kingston, Jamaica: The Immortal Stone Love is at it again, this time it’s in tandem with MTV! Last Wednesday crews working with the worldwide television network MTV, were in Jamaica filming Stone Love’s weekly “Weddy Weddy” celebration, which will appear on the new and very popular MTV, programme VGTE (Vice Guide to Everything) this season.
Vice started, as newsprint monthly out of Montreal sixteen years ago is now a celebrated global media company with offices in 30 countries. Vice magazine is the world’s only free, internationally distributed youth-culture magazine, printed in seventeen languages reaching an audience of more than 15-million young people. When Vice magazine first started, all it cared about was sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll. But as it started traveling around the world, it got more into politics, culture, fashion, art, the environment and basically, everything. MTV’s The Vice Guide To Everything is a series about the absurdity of the modern condition: the most interesting people, news, sub-cultures and rituals on the planet. It’s the stuff you don’t get from the mainstream media but that you absolutely need to know- and won’t stop talking about.
The episode that will be aired later down in the series will certainly be one to look out for as Sizzla, Bounty Killa, Elephant Man, Shaggy, the G-Unit and Swagg Team dancers are just a few of the Jamaican talent spotted partying and receiving lens time. In fact it seemed as if everybody, who was anybody was at Weddy last Wednesday… were you?
