(Kingston, Jamaica) It’s Official, world renowned reggae vocalist Singing Melody has scored his very first #1 since the start of the year, this as his latest single “Collide” moved up four places from #5 to claim the top spot on the Hit 94FM radio charts ahead of Lady Gaga and Marc Anthony in the Caribbean island of Aruba.
Melody who is once again focusing on his solo career released the single “Collide” back in September as the first song off his soon to be release “They Call Me Mr. Melody” studio album due out January 17th. Since then the song has been getting rave reviews from the likes of Rob Kenner of Vibe Magazine who stated “Welcome back Mr. Melody, we’ve been missing you” and veteran Radio Host / Award Organizer Richard “Richie B” Burgess who ranked “Collide” as #23 Reggae Single in Jamaica. Recognition has also been noted with Collide currently holding the #7 spot on the Richard Banton Hot Bubblers Charts and the #27 ranking on the New York Top 30 Reggae listing.
Guided by the efforts of his Management team at “Shem Music Production” Melody has managed to tap into several overseas markets including Poland and Africa where local Television and Radio stations have been requesting his content on a consistent basis.
In other news Melody who recently celebrated his Birthday will be going on tour to Japan in December but not before headlining a live showcase at the Blue Beat Cafe in Montego Bay on December 8th alongside Tony Williams, Fitzroy Minott and the Hard Drive Band.
