In a move to accelerate the promotion of her latest single Forever, singer RR (Double R) has added former TOK member Bay-C on the song’s remix. The song produced by UIM Records has been making moves on FM radio in recent weeks.
‘The concept behind the song was directed to be an uplifting mellow club joint that would have you living in the moment. Bay C made contact with me and expressed his appreciation for the song. He felt a remix would further propel and give the song another sound. The producer was open to the idea and we made it happen’, RR explained in a media release.
Since the remix was serviced to radio, the feedback has been overwhelming.
‘After doing two collaborations (one with Sizzla and the other with Mavado), an explosive single needed to be on point. Chevaughn who co-wrote forever, new exactly what the vibe of the riddim wanted and we executed it well’, RR added.
The song has been garnering play on Fyah 105 FM. Several disc jocks locally as well as in the Jamaican Diaspora in the United States, and places including Italy and the UK, have thrown their support behind the song.
RR, who has been busy making a name for herself both as a singer and a singjay, has been doing music professionally since 2014. To date, she has recorded songs for producers including Anju Blaxx, Frankie Music, Christopher Birch, Dre Day, Kirky Shines, Steam Worldwide, Quik Keys, and Mineral Boss Records.
‘As a female entertainer, I class myself in my own league. I have a unique sound that’s refreshing to hear and I’m an all round performer. I devote myself to work on any weakness and to train my voice in keeping in tune with my sound’, RR revealed. She has theatrical training and is a principal dancer of the Dance Theatre Xaymaca.
Among her other releases are Crazy in Love (the remix features Mavado), Dat Yuh Wah (featuring Sizzla), Gimmie Dat, Turn it Up, Bad Inna Bed, Talk, Right Now featuring Javada, Grown and Sexy featuring Stephanie Wallace and Good for You.
