Meek Mill’s DC4 is finally here. The long-awaited project from the Philly spitter arrives just a day after its release date was announced.
The 14-track effort is star-studded with appearances by Nicki Minaj, Lil Uzi Vert, Tory Lanez, Quavo, Young Thug, French Montana, Pusha T, and 21 Savage.
DC4 — which follows 2013’s Dreamchasers 3 — features vintage Meek, rhyming about the streets and sending a few warnings to his foes.
This could also mark the end of an era. Earlier this year, Meek promised he would no longer rap about extreme violence following this project.
“AFTER DC4 I won’t continue to rap about extreme violence!!!” he said in July. “But I will remain to let my people know in these terrible environments to adapt and survive at any cost because US BLACK PEOPLE ARE STILL AT WAR WITH OURSELVES AND THE SYSTEM IN REAL LIFE!”
