Dancehall artiste Konshens is seeking to dispel reports that he had been injured while in Texas last Friday.
“Mi nuh get dead, mi nuh get cut up, mi nuh dead,” the Realest Song singer said yesterday after rumours had been circulating that he was in an altercation.
Konshens said he had a show in Texas last Friday night. After the show ended, he went to the hotel but decided to go back on the road.
“Wi deh pon di road and is like two likkle man see wi and decide fi try rob wi but dem did just a talk tough and we talk back tough to dem and one a dem back out a knife. In less than five minutes everything was done. When wi reach far wi hear a shot buss,” he told THE STAR.
As for how the news that he got cuts in his face or that he was dead reached Jamaica, Konshens says he has no idea. Before returning to Jamaica Saturday afternoon, the artiste said he got numerous broadcasts on his BlackBerry messenger with people mourning his death or asking if the reports were true. He said calls and emails also flooded his phone.
“Thanks to all who expressed dem concern and call, ping, text and email, but mi good so nuh worry,” he said.
In the meantime, Konshens says he is promoting Realest Medz and Gal Dem A Talk medley. He will also be doing production work on the ‘G Shock’ rhythm.
