Jamaica’s Musical Butterfly LEONTRE` to perform at the annual World Aids Day Annual Dinner

Jamaica’s Upcoming Musical Butterfly Leontre`, was selected to perform at the Jamaica Business Council on HIV and AIDS (JABCHA) 4th annual Fundraising Dinner on World AIDS Day, Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel.

Kingston, Jamaica:- Jamaica’s Upcoming Musical Butterfly Leontre`, was selected to perform at the Jamaica Business Council on HIV and AIDS (JABCHA) 4th annual Fundraising Dinner on World AIDS Day, Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel.

Leontre` impressed the organizers with her recent interview and video premiere on CVMTV entertainment programme OnStage. The organizers believe Leontre` music, goals and qualities epitomizes what the organizer and foundation represent.

Leontre’s passion lies mostly in her country and its people as she reflects what she sees or hears on the news or in and around her environment; this is evident in her latest single “Jail House Rock”.

The World AIDS Day Dinner is themed; “A Touch of RED” which is the main fundraising initiative of the Council and its proceeds will help to continue JABCHA’s work on behalf of the private sector in its role as the coordinating voice for HIV/AIDS in the business.

Leontre` is currently recording her debut album for Gully Bank Musik and has also recently recorded some singles for two other prominent Jamaican producers. Leontre` recently wrote and performed a song called ‘8am‘ for “ the just concluded “In The Dance” show which was aired on TVJ…that song is also one of the tracks on kreesha Turners album that was launched on 106 and Park November 15, 2011.

LEONTRE` is influenced mainly by Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, Dinah Washington, India Arie, Tanya Stevens and Lauren Hill. She admires artists such as Duane Stephenson, Assassin, Busy Signal and Tessanne Chynn.
