With the popularity of Mavado’s Gal A Mad Ova growing, upcoming female artiste Ishawna has done a counteraction.
The song, Mad Ova, was recorded about two weeks ago on the ‘Bad People’ rhythm.
“I really liked the song (Gal A Mad Ova) and every time I heard it I would sing a female version to represent for the ladies. It was just a fun thing, but everybody seem to like it. I was on the road and the thought just came to my mind to do a counteraction,” she said.
Ishawna has also been busy recording. In recent weeks, she said she has recorded at least nine songs that will be released between now and summer. She is about to release Not So Sure on Fagan Productions’ label and On and On that was produced by Q45. In addition, she is currently promoting Who’s That Girl which was produced by Jam 2 Productions. The singer said she is also working on songs with Supa Hype, PayDay Music, Cash Flow Records, Foota Hype Music and Stephen McGregor.
