Dej Loaf: Female Emcees Don’t Have to Beef to Prove Greatness

Dej Loaf sat down with Jenny Boom Boom for an exclusive interview with VladTV, and explained how she got on the Shady XV track “Detroit vs Everybody.” The Detroit rapper says Royce Da 5’9 reached out to her to get on the track, and she was one of the first people to send out her verse.

During the conversation, Dej also spoke about Foxy Brown’s plans to release an all-female record, and reveals whom she’d like to see on the project. The “Try Me” rapper names Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, and Missy Elliott as the first people to come to mind, but says she’d like all the great female rappers to come together.

She also addressed the history of female rappers beefing, and Dej believes that she’s not down to fight with other rappers. The Detroit emcee adds that beefing isn’t necessary to prove a rapper’s greatness.
