Beyonce Goes Hard In The Studio, Surprises Label With 72 Finished Tracks For New Album

Beyonce is out to prove that she has no intention of relinquishing her grip on the title as the current Queen of Pop.

Of course Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna might argue that point, but there is no doubt that Jay-Z’s better half put in major work on her new album, titled ‘4.’

B explained the significance of the the number to MTV UK.

“It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date,” she said

According to The Sun, B turned in a whopping 72 finished tracks for the album. Leaving the label the though task of having to find the best 14.

“Label staff leave Beyonce to get on with things, they tend not to interfere when she’s making an album,” a source said. “But they weren’t prepared for the sheer volume of material she presented to them. She’s clearly been very productive. Now they have the hard job of going through all the music and deciding what will make it.”

The new disc is expected sometime this year.
