Aladdin “Prince of the Airwayz” caught up with A$AP Ferg for VH1’s Save the Music at the MLK Day of Service and spoke with him about the recent loss of Mob founder A$AP Yams, his involvement in the community and more.
Ferg, who understandably didn’t want to talk in detail about the passing of Yams, did say that he’s extremely grateful for all the outpouring of love and condolences he’s received, and he knows Yams is looking down with a smile on his face.
Moving on, the Harlem emcee spoke on giving back through art and the joy he’s received through doing his part to serve his community. He says he’s striving to avoid getting wrapped up in negative thoughts over the death of his friend, and instead use the experience to spread positivity.
He wrapped up by briefly touching on what he’s got in the works, and gives some advice to all the kids out there who aspire to be something.
