50 Cent Arrested in St Kitts
American rapper 50 Cent was arrested here early Sunday following his performance at the St Kitts Music festival late Saturday.
Sources tell TMZ, 50 had been warned not to use profanity during his performance in front of 40,000 people. We’re told the DJ didn’t have a clean version of his set, and 50 didn’t pull the mic away from his mouth when he roared, “motherf*****” … and that was enough to get him arrested.
The police report that the rapper whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, was arrested in his dressing room at the Warner Park stadium and taken to the Basseterre police station where he charged with Making use of Indecent Language.
His bodyguard Bajar Walter who was slapped with the same charge was also charged with obstruction.
The police report that the rapper was cooperative, however Walter was not pleased and attempted to intervene. The two were granted bail in the amount of EC$5000 (One EC dollar =US$0.37 cents) each with two sureties.
In 2003, another American rapper DMX, was arrested for using profanity during a St Kitts Music Festival Concert.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was then released on bail of EC$1000.
