Rumors surfaced on several website this week claiming that an altercation took place between New York rapper Maino and Yung Berg at a nightclub in New York, which ended with Berg getting slapped.

While it was just hearsay, Maino has spoken out about the situation (via a recent interview with radio host Jenny Boom Boom on 93.7 in Connecticut), confirming the rumors. However, he clarified that the incident actually took place in Atlanta, not New York.

Yung Berg Brushes Off Chain Snatching, Says He’s Got Plenty

Since getting attacked and robbed of his chain in Detroit last month, rapper Yung Berg has been quiet about the situation. He recently commented on the attack, though, in a YouTube interview with RealTalkNY, but didn’t get into any specifics, brushing it off as “it is what it is.”

“What happened in the D, happened in the D,” Berg said. “I love ya’ll for making it happen in the D because ya’ll showing me that ya’ll inspire to be big. Whoever it is … I don’t even know who it is and I personally don’t care because at the end of the day, all I’m out here to do is make hit records and do my thing, and get my money. You know what? It is what it is. Karma’s a bitch.”

Rapper Yung Berg was reportedly robbed and assaulted in Detroit over the weekend, resulting in a scheduled performance being canceled just hours prior to the show.

The rapper (real name: Christian Ward) was in Detroit to headline local radio station Hot 102.7’s Summer Jam on Saturday (August 23) — which also included the likes of Mik Jones, Shawty Lo, and Mario — but missed the performance, reportedly due to an altercation the night before at a local nightclub.
