More than a year has passed and dancehall artiste Einstein is still venting his anger at his former friend Vybz Kartel.
At last week’s Bomb Dem Fridays, held in Golding Spring, St Andrew, Einstein, real name Jermane Shaw, voiced his disapproval of Vybz Kartel. He said he will continue to talk about it whenever he feels like doing so.
“Mi go everywhere and talk it. Mi nuh follow up things, but if mi go somewhere and feel like fi bun him out, mi bun him,” said Einstein, who is now part of the Bounty-Killer-led Alliance.

Incarcerated deejay Deva Bratt has verbally lashed out at fellow deejay Vybz Kartel, accusing the artiste of stealing his ‘Portmore Empire’.
In February of this year Deva Bratt, real name Sheldon Smith, was taken into custody in connection with an alleged case of carnal abuse, committed against a 14-year-old girl. He was picked up by police from his home in Westchester, Portmore.

Following rumours that Vybz Kartel’s mother and sister were killed on the weekend, the police have advised the artiste’s mother to be more vigilant.
Karl Angell, director of communication for the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), said he could not give the details of what security measures she was advised to take or why the police were concerned, but confirmed that they have urged her to be careful. “We advised her to pay a lot more attention to her security,” he said.

Popular deejay Vybz Kartel was released from the Horizon Remand Centre on Friday (September 12) after being in custody since Wednesday.
The deejay, whose real name is Adidjah Palmer, was released some time after 5:30 p.m. at 14 Kirk Avenue in Havendale, St Andrew, the same place he was picked up by police on Wednesday. Police also raided the artiste’s home on Hacienda Way in Norbrook, St Andrew. Eight other persons, including DJ Karim and a policeman who is reportedly on suspension and acting as the deejay’s bodyguard, were detained with the deejay. They were also released.

Deejay Vybz Kartel also added his own congratulations to the Jamaican Olympic team at the 2008 Beijing Games in a statement released yesterday.

Patrons to the show Hype 2K8, held on Saturday night at the Independence Park Complex in Black River, St Elizabeth, had to wait three hours longer than scheduled for the start of the show. But the performances of Vybz Kartel and Monster Empire made the wait a worth while one.
Entering the stage at 5 a.m., Vybz Kartel immediately lifted the vibes of the show with his tune Send On, and from there he ignited the crowd with every tune he sang.
