At the end of the “Can’t Believe It” remix, T-Pain says that Auto-Tune is almost up. What? Why would Pain, whose Thr33 Ringz debuts at #4 on next week’s Billboard albums sales chart, extinguish his signature sound now?

“Not for me,” Pain clarified, “for everybody else.” The singer — who told DJ Skee in a separate interview that artists such as Ron Browz have used the Auto-Tune effect poorly — told MTV News that his biters need to pay up. Hey, if Diddy can collaborate with Pain and pay him for using the Auto-Tune, so can you other guys.

T-Pain Compares Music Biz To Circus, Talks ‘Thr33 Ringz’

Sought after songwriter and hook specialist T-Pain has confirmed a November release date for Thr33 RINGZ, his third full length studio album.

In July, T-Pain launched the project with the Lil Wayne assisted hit single “Can’t Believe It,” which has peaked at #8 on the Billboard’s Top 10.

For the second single, the Houston influenced “Chopped and Skrewed,” T-Pain enlists Ludacris to cleverly use the title as a double entendre to reflect on courtship games played by females.

Tami, Shaggy for Pepsi ad

Local songstress Tami Chynn and deejay Shaggy have been chosen by the international drink company Pepsi to record and appear in its latest advertising campaign.

The two artistes, along with United States entertainer T-Pain, have recorded three commercials (their versions of the funk 1974 classic Kung Fu Fighting by Jamaican Carl Douglas) for the giant drink company.

T-Pain Named “Songwriter Of The Year”

Grammy award winning singer T-Pain has added another trophy to his collection as he took home the “Songwriter of the Year” honors last night (September 4) at BMI’s Urban Awards in California.

According to Variety, the event took place in Beverly Hills where the mega hitmaker also shared “Producer of the Year” with Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem and Kanye West, both whom have boosted the careers of superstars like 50 Cent, T.I., Talib Kweli, Young Jeezy and The Game with their hit singles.
