Dancehall’s newest sensation, Serani, has been gaining popularity in the Caribbean.
Recently, two of Trinidad and Tobago’s top artistes, Machel Montano and Soca superstar Shurwayne Winchester, both asked Serani to feature on tracks with them.
With Trinidad and Tobago’s world-famous carnival season kicking off next February, Serani will, no doubt, be in demand for appearances during the festivities.

Dancehall artistes Mavado and Serani will be blazing up the airwaves in New York after having songs added to Hot 97’s regular playlist.
According to www.rap.about.com, Hot 97 is one of the most popular radio stations in the urban area. The station broke barriers by becoming the world’s first hip hop-formatted radio station in 1994. One of dancehall’s hottest new artistes, Craig ‘Serani’ Marsh, has signed a two-album deal with Japan label JVC Entertainment.
The producer, now turned singer, says, “It’s exciting for me because since I took the decision to add singing to my repertoire, the response has been great.”
