After reporting on Monday (September 22) that troubled rapper DMX was rushed to an emergency room in Florida due to an alleged fear of having a stroke, X’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, has detailed his condition.
According to Billboard, while Cohen confirmed the former Def Jam artist’s unexpected check-in to an Aventura hospital, he did not say why. “It was serious enough at the time but ultimately he should be OK,” he told Billboard.

DMX is reportedly in custody in a Phoenix jail on identity theft charges.
As reported earlier, DMX was arrested in Miami on August 14th on a warrant for failing to appear in a Phoenix court for a drug related case.
DMX attempted to bail out from the Miami jail but the Phoenix judge who issued the warrant revoked his bail and the rapper had to face drug charges he had picked up in Miami in June.

DMX’s Phoenix lawyer revealed yesterday (August 13) that the embattled rapper is currently in a Miami hospital.
On (August 11), a Phoenix judge issued an arrest warrant for DMX after he failed to appear in court for a hearing relating to drug possession charges. The judge also raised the rapper’s bond to $25,000.

The Associated Press reports the rapper (born Earl Simmons) was picked up about 1:30 p.m. on Monday (June 23) by Miami Dade County Police. Authorities, who had an arrest warrant for Simmons for not having a valid driver’s license, took the Yonkers, NY entertainer to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institute.
According to a spokeswoman, Simmons remained behind bars at about 5:30 p.m. The rapper’s bond was set at $500.
