50 CENT is unconvinced by fellow superstar KANYE WEST’s change of musical direction - hinting the STRONGER star should stick to rapping instead of singing on his new album. West sings throughout forthcoming LP 808s & Heartbreak with the help of Auto-Tune - leaving the majority of the rapping to guest stars Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne. But former rap rival 50 Cent is not won over by the T-Pain produced project - although he concedes the idea is “interesting”. He tells MTV.com, “I heard, like, seven songs. There’s a place for it. I think people will enjoy it if you’re actually in love or going through something. I think Kanye’s going through an interesting point in his career. “I don’t think the public will forgive (West) for it, but it’s interesting. I think it’s T-Pain’s record, but I’d rather buy it from T-Pain.”
50 Cent’s label, Interscope Records, announced Friday (November 14) that the rapper’s upcoming fourth album, Before I Self Destruct, has been pushed back to an unspecified date in “early 2009.”
According to the label, although 50 has been rushing to get his album finished for a December release, it’s yet to be complete. With the deadline to secure advertising and retail placement for the album imminent, he decided to move to a date in early 2009.

Apparently the business world frowns upon biters as much as hip-hop used to. Donald Trump recently poked fun at 50 Cent and Diddy for producing spin-offs of his hit television show, “The Apprentice.”
“The Apprentice” features business executives in-training as they compete for a job as Trump’s apprentice. Meanwhile, Diddy recently wrapped “I Wanna Work For Diddy,” a VH1 series in which he searches for a personal assistant. MTV is also capitalizing off a Trump-like show with “50 Cent:The Money And The Power.” The series features business hopefuls competing to win a $100, 000 investment from Fif himself. Trump briefly addressed Fif and Diddy during an “Inside City Hall” interview on NY1 last night (11/12).

Recently, 50 Cent explained that he had spent some time over in Detroit at Eminem’s home to work on a few songs together - one of which yielded the highly anticipated “Norman Bates Motel” .
Now, 50 is revealing more details of the visit, saying he literally stole a beat from Eminem’s computer. “I did a song produced by Dr. Dre,” 50 said to MTV News. “I got the production from Detroit, because Dre was working with Em right before I got out there. I just missed him. I went through Em’s computer and found what I needed. Yes, I did. I got me the record I needed. I was like, ‘Wait till they hear this.’ I wrote it; Em heard it. He was like, ‘You gotta keep that for yourself. This is too crazy.’ First, I think he was gonna take it from me, then he was like, ‘He gotta use that for himself.’ ”
50 added, “I think [Eminem's manager] Paul [Rosenberg] wanted him to take it.”
The unnamed track should appear on 50’s upcoming album Before I Self Destruct, which is tentatively scheduled for a December release.

For his new video 50 Cent used some inspiration from the Will Smith movie, I Am Legend. “we came up with a concept for it, just a little more futuristic. I took a scene that I seen in a Will Smith film, ‘I Am Legend.’ 50 told MTV “..It’s a collage that I thought was interesting” . 50 continued “In the beginning of ‘I Am Legend,’ New York City was desolate, like everything was just gone. Instead, that’ll be Los Angeles. … There was a scene, one of the creatures was running into the glass, and I kinda re-created that in my own way”
