Saturday, July 26, 2008 – Kingston, Jamaica:-”Fathers be a father to your Son” …..we have heard this echoed by many, in many ways, for many years. Now upcoming artiste Solid has put pen to paper in an effort to speak on the issue.
The track entitled ‘Father’ will be deafening to the people who it directly speaks about, those fathers who have for one reason or the other have chosen to neglect their responsibilities to their children. The song implores fathers to look towards spending time with their children from an early age; this guidance is unparalleled and could be the difference between a child that is influenced by the streets as opposed to one that will make decisions on their own based on simple teachings.
Solid uses his art form to effectively reach the children being faced with such a situation, he presents them with a more solution driven approach……”Yutes don’t take that road cause even though you daddy never deh deh, you modda still bear the load”. Ryhmes such as this presents the youth with the alternative to continue that drive if not to please your father, then of course your mother.

Ever since his first recordings, he always had a style and presence that separated him from his peers; it was always quite evident that he had an irresistibly ’solid’ style.
