Beanie Sigel

Billboard.com spoke to Beanie Sigel’s manager and he made it clear that Beanie Sigel and Freeway haven’t been dropped by Roc-A-Fella Records contrary to Internet reports that entire label’s roster had been let go.

Mark Byers, Beanie Sigel’s manager, told Billboard.com:

“Beans and Freeway didn’t get dropped,” says Beanie Sigel’s manager, Mark Byers. “I just got off the phone with L.A. Reid talking about the next video for ‘Rain’ featuring Raheem DeVaughn that we’re about to release. We’re re-launching Beanie’s project and releasing a ‘Rain’ remix with State Property.”

Internet reports had circulated this week that Roc-A-Fella’s entire roster of artists had been dropped by Def Jam. An unnamed source said the following:

“I don’t think there’s going to be a Roc-A-Fella anymore,” says the insider. “I do think each artist will have to go to the new people in charge and have a meeting separately. But the Roc artists aren’t going to roll over and die.”

There are still strong rumors online that Roc-A-Fella artist Peedi Peedi has been dropped. Peedi AKA Peedi Crakk released a Jay-Z diss song this week called “I’m Sorry.”
