Bio: Grew up listening oldies souls & ska music mainly. Never started to listen to reggae/dancehall music untill about
1989. First rap album i ever listen was “DMX - It’s Dark & Hell Is Hot” (still listen it without skipping a track).
I love music, it’s one of my ways of keeping calm, started playing when i left school & had nothing to do
so my friend & i started making compilations on cassettes & sell. I never knew how to mix at first, only had one
old belt-drive turntable. A friend showed me how to mix with his turntables, learnt in less than 5 minutes & the
rest is history.
A friend of mines gave me the name “sluedem” because he heard me mix songs he never thought were possible.
There’s still a lot out there that i want to learn, i have time, so i’ll continue to listen others & catch on where i can.
Never played at any real big events other than office parties, bar-b-que’s & birthday parties. I don’t plan to do
this as a career, it’s just fun for now, never say never though.
