Biography - Duane Marc Phillips started his musical journey at the tender age of seven(7) years old, where he began singing in his Sunday School Choir. This was short lived, as Duane prefered being more along the lines of production. Duane loved music and began his collection at the age of thirteen(13). In his fifth(5th) year at St. Georges College, he learned of a computer programme(Virtual Dj), and being an avid fan and listener of Zip 103 FM and their Djs, Duane decided to install and give the programme a try. Dj Doofy was then born. With the help of friends and the observation of more experienced disk jocks, Dj Doofy had mastered the art of mixing music by the end of his first term in sixth form. Dj Doofy later on decided to give remixing a try, and with the help of his colleagues soon mastered the art of the simple remix, later on coming quite close to mastering the Complex Remix with the help of the computer programme Acid Pro. Simple put, “Dj Doofy is a yute weh love him music. Him deal wid basically all genres exept heavy metal & dem hard core rock & roll song deh. From dancehall & hip hop, going straight back to souls & oldies. Every genre stretching back to the 50’s I have come in contact with. I love remixing & mixing music, & alongside with me and my Kryptonite Kru family,I will plan to further my musical journey. Is not a full time thing yet, but we a represent for the Georgez entourage.”
