Lil Wayne is about to join T.I. in the Big House. The Grammy-winning rapper pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession in New York City on Thursday, and expects to receive a one-year jail sentence. The charges stem from a gun NYPD officials say was found on his tour bus in Manhattan in 2007.
Wayne previously had pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3½ years in prison upon conviction. The news comes as the “Lollipop†hitmaker prepares to welcome a son with R&B star Nivea  his third child born in the past year!
Wayne, 27, is also scheduled for trial in Arizona on felony drug possession and weapons charges. He has pleaded not guilty in that case. He remains free on bail while awaiting his February sentencing. The somber star did not speak as he left court.
