Deejay Bugle had a star-studded video shoot on Tuesday night at the Olympia Crown hotel on Molynes Road for his song The Journey (Supremacy).

Directed by Julia Braham, Supremacy, according to Bugle, was inspired by Barack Obama’s victory in the 2008 United States presidential election.

The song was created two weeks ago. Bugle told The STAR, “The concept deals with black people in general. People who fight the struggle, the people who made it possible for Obama to win. This includes the people who came before, like Marcus Garvey and others.”

Cameo appearances were made by Nikki Z, Collin Hines, Shaggy, Freddie McGregor, Tarrus Riley and Bounty Killer. Each person appears in the video holding framed photos of great black leaders such as Malcolm X.

According to Bugle, the people chosen to make cameo appearances were chosen for their outspokenness on social matters.

The DASECA family, including Raine Seville, was also on set.
