Featured Artiste: Venom

Ricardo Newman more popularly know as Venom was born in Point Hill, St. Catherine. While growing up Venom developed a deep love for rap music and this love became stronger when he discovered that he had the talent to write and perform this genre of music fluently. After rapping at a local barber shop on weekends he started to write and perform professionally in the year 2000.

Natasha is not a household name yet but she has every intention of getting there. She did what any aspiring model should do to get a kick start, entered Pulse’s Caribbean Model Search in 2005, and her professional modeling career took off from there. She’s only 5′4, which probably won’t get her too many runway gigs but she’s done pictorial campaigns for several local corporations islandwide, been featured on party teasers and flyers and has done a few MC gigs here and there. Natasha knows that her height probably won’t get her to Grace Jones’ heights…but she has a plan.

Game Ends Beef With Joe Buddens, Brings NYC Rappers To Party

The Game treated his New York fans last night (August 26) to an all-star list of guest MCs, as Young Buck, Joe Budden, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, and Kool Herc made appearances at his album release party at the Filmore.

Former rival Joe Budden was the first surprise guest.

Far removed from their 2005 battle which saw numerous diss records thrown back and forth, the New Jersey lyricist performed “Pump It Up” and “Who Killed Hip-Hop” with Game in the role of hypeman.

T.I. establishes the mark for biggest jump to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, as “Whatever You Like” soars 71-1 in its third week on the list. The new chart will be published tomorrow (Aug. 28) on Billboard.com.

A No. 1 opening on Hot Digital Songs with debut-week sales of 205,000 downloads is the impetus for the record-setting Hot 100 move, which surpasses the 64-1 hike taken by Maroon 5’s “Makes Me Wonder” in the May 12, 2007, issue.

Young Jeezy Brings Lil Kim, Fabolous Onstage At NYC Show

New York—Brooklyn was definitely in the building.

Young Jeezy performed at the Blender Theater in Manhattan last night and the out of towner treated the Big Apple crowd to a treat.

Da Snowman welcomed Fabolous (”Breathe”) and Maino (”Hi Hater”) on stage to perform with him. But the capacity crowd really went crazy when Jeezy asked them to put their lighters up and out from backstage came Lil Kim.
