
In addition to performing concerts and speaking to youth before reporting to the slammer next year, T.I. now has a crew of cameras watching him do it all. The rapper is using the last of his year on house arrest to film a documentary series for MTV.
According to Variety, the network will go with the self-proclaimed “King of the South” as he performs the remainder of his community service hours and prepares for a one-year prison sentence next spring. The network plans to air the show some time soon after T.I. goes to jail in early 2009.

It was not a pleasant sight for onlookers who witnessed a confrontation between Buju Banton and Junior Reid at the Best of the Best show held in Miami on Sunday, May 25.
Both entertainers and their respective management teams are tight-lipped about the backstage confrontation.
When contacted, Jarrett, a member of Junior Reid’s management team said, “I cannot confirm anything about anything.” He said he would first have to speak with Mr Reid. However, when THE STAR called back, his phone rang without an answer.

A man wanted for his involvement in the murder of a 13-year-old Harlem teenager for selling CD’s by popular Hip-Hop group The Diplomats, was featured on America’s Most Wanted last night (May 24).
According to America’s Most Wanted, Carlos “Zoo” Thompson, 32, was an affiliate with The Diplomats who traveled with the group as security.
A nationwide manhunt is now underway for Thompson, who is accused of giving 13-year-old L’Mani Delima a gun in 2005 and ordering him to shoot 15-year-old Phoenix Garrett, for selling Diplomat CD’s on the street.

Extatic Fridays - the ‘Lollipop’ edition turned into a dancing showcase as women took to the centre of the dance floor to work up a storm.
With women free before midnight, they turned out in droves in short skirts and shorts and got themselves prepped to wine. When THE STAR team got to the venue after 11 p.m., some persons gathered on the outskirts of the dance floor while others headed for the lawn area, as slow jams by Richie Ras played. Marc Chin from Coppershot, the resident deejay, was on the microphone building a vibe with songs such as Sensual Seduction by Snoop Dogg and Lollipop by Lil Wayne.
