Grammy- nominated R&B sensation, Keyshia Cole will be performing live at the Miss Jamaica Universe Coronation show, come April 12, at the National Indoor Sports Arena. Just this week, pageant producers confirmed that the starlet would indeed be in the island to perform some of her chart-topping hits.
A striking mix of sugar, spice, sexiness and sass, Keyshia Cole burst on the music scene with a powerhouse album The Way It Is, in 2005. From this album, Cole belted hits such as I Just Want It To Be Over, I Changed My Mind, I Should Have Cheated and her greatest solo hit Love. The first Daydreams party for 2008 took place last Saturday at Chukka Beach, St Ann’s Bay, and with the likes of Richie Ras, Kurt Riley, ZJ Liquid and Renaissance behind the turntables, it was a blast.

Dancehall artiste David ‘Mavado’ Brooks was arrested and charged yesterday on two counts of shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm, stemming from an incident last year.
Brooks was arrested after he turned himself over to the Kingston and St Andrew Major Investigation Task Force at their downtown offices yesterday.
Head of the Major Investigation Task Force, Assistant Commissioner of Police Les Green, said the artiste was formally charged after he was questioned by detectives.

Rap star 50 Cent and Sierra Entertainment have announced plans for 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, the upcoming sequel to Bulletproof, the rapper’s first foray into the world of Xbox/Playstation gaming.
Blood on the Sand features G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid providing voice and likeness in the upcoming video game, which will be available this fall on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 gaming systems.

Hip-hop’s favorite pair are officially on their way to splitsville, as Kimora Lee Simmons reportedly filed for divorce yesterday (Mar. 26) from her mogul husband Russell Simmons.
According to court papers obtained by TMZ, Kimora Lee Simmons filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the couple’s break-up. Lee Simmons is reportedly asking for both legal and physical custody of the couple’s two daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee, but is apparently not seeking any spousal support from the Def Jam founder.
