It has been many years since Ziggy Marley has performed in Jamaica, but tonight at the Smile Jamaica concert at James Bond Beach audiences can expect nothing but love from the multiple Grammy award winner.

Having just come off an extensive tour and the success of his Grammy award-winning album Love Is My Religion Ziggy is happy to be back home in Jamaica for the momentous Smile Jamaica/Africa Unite concert.

Ziggy told the STAR, “mi always tell people don’t come wid expectations come wid an open mind cause I bring love for di people.” Audiences can expect tracks from Ziggy’s last solo effort Love Is My Religion as well as previous Melody Makers tunes and performances with his siblings.

Lil Wayne Collabs With Jay-Z On Tha Carter III

Lil Wayne recently revealed that his upcoming album The Carter III will feature an appearance from Jay-Z.

The two first collaborated on Jay-Z’s latest album, American Gangster, on the track “Hello Brooklyn”.

The Carter III, which was originally slated for release last year, was set to hit shelves this month but Wayne tells MTV News that the album will be in stores in April.

Snoop Dogg Busted For Weed Possession

In the latest of several brushes with the law, veteran West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg was cited for marijuana possession on Wednesday night (Feb. 20) in New York City. According to the New York Post, Snoop was given a “desk-appearance ticket” outside a Manhattan nightclub for possession of the drug, but was not arrested.

Ne-Yo Arrested For Speeding

R&B crooner Ne-Yo was reportedly arrested earlier this week for reckless driving and driving without a valid license.

According to TMZ, the singer - real name Shaffer Smith - was arrested on Tuesday (Feb. 19) in Cobb County, Ga., outside of Atlanta. Authorities claim the singer was speeding, driving well over 100 mph in his 2006 Range Rover. Cash bond was set at $1,300.

In related news Ne-Yo’s sophomore effort, Because of You, recently took home a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B album.

SOHH caught up with the Def Jam cronner during his Grammy pre party to discuss his thoughts on the re-release of Michael Jackson’s highly successful Thriller album and to confirm reports that he is currently working with the pop icon on a comeback disc.

One Third goes ‘Gangster’

One Third has joined the list of artistes to have violent content in their lyrics with their newest single ‘Garrison Anthem’.

The song was released on the fraction entertainment label and is a remake of One Republic and Timberland’s Apologise. While the rhythm is similar, lyrically, the songs vary greatly. Garrison Anthem says, “If any bwoy violate a go end up six feet underground/ call wi name to the Feds full clip a go throw dem you down.”
