Beanie Sigel’s Manager: “Beans and Freeway didn’t get dropped”

Billboard.com spoke to Beanie Sigel’s manager and he made it clear that Beanie Sigel and Freeway haven’t been dropped by Roc-A-Fella Records contrary to Internet reports that entire label’s roster had been let go.
Mark Byers, Beanie Sigel’s manager, told Billboard.com:
“Beans and Freeway didn’t get dropped,” says Beanie Sigel’s manager, Mark Byers. “I just got off the phone with L.A. Reid talking about the next video for ‘Rain’ featuring Raheem DeVaughn that we’re about to release. We’re re-launching Beanie’s project and releasing a ‘Rain’ remix with State Property.”

No ‘Scare Dem’ reunion

In recent times there have been talks of a possible Scare Dem Crew reunion but this has been denied by the former members of the group.
“No sah, no reunion no deh deh. Everybody a jus brethren. Wi naah go do no booking together ’cause every man have dem own career,” said Elephant Man, as he dispelled rumours of a reunion. He left the group in 1999. Ele, however, pointed out that the members of the crew are still friends as they still ‘link up’ on a regular basis.

Vegas back on track

After a brief break over the Christmas season, dancehall singjay Mr Vegas is back for 2008 with remixes and hot new tracks that are making their way on to the airwaves.
Over the holidays, while some artistes were on every stage show, Mr Vegas, although doing a few shows, for the most part played the role of spectator.
“I decided to take a well-deserved rest, I wanted to cool out,” he said. Vegas was recently ill with a heart condition that had caused him to miss a few shows. However, according to the artiste, “everything is good” with his health.

Very late start to ‘Ghetto Story’
If Sunday night’s ‘Ghetto Story’ was to be written in a book, the first few pages would be blank.
The empty space would represent not only the very late start to what was advertised as a Sunday night affair, but also the expanse of empty asphalt which greeted THE STAR at 2:30 a.m. on Monday.
Sure, the sound system Swatch International was in place and pounding, but apart from the selectors and the ladies at the bar close to where the music equipment was set up under a tent, there were only four persons in Fletcher’s Land square.
